• Opened and operated a branch of a major US environmental consulting firm where he managed projects including site investigation, remediation and risk assessments.
• Wrote environmental compliance assurance software for a major US mining and minerals company which documented and tracked all environmental requirements including Federal and State regulations, permits, consent orders, and corporate guidelines.
• Designed and implemented comprehensive and industry-tailored databases for a wide variety of industry sectors, including oil, pharmaceutical and tobacco companies.
• Integrated air dispersion models with georeferenced facility databases and risk calculation models to create an automated fenceline risk calculation package for a major US pharmaceuticals company.
• Created an online executive information system for a major US heavy equipment manufacturer that tracked environmental issues, site investigations, remedial activities, and budget information at over 100 facilities worldwide.
• Pioneered multimedia knowledge-based systems for the environmental engineering industry, including OASIS (a multimedia ground water modeling system) and the Petroleum Release Decision Framework (a knowledge-based system developed for the American Petroleum Institute).
