More than 15 years of experience in atmospheric chemistry, air quality modeling, photochemical model development, interpretation of ambient air quality data, modeling biogenic and mobile source emissions, and emissions inventory development.

Experience Highlights

  • Developed advanced photochemical air dispersion models; technical lead for ENVIRON’s Comprehensive Air Quality model with extension (CAMx) for ozone, particulate matter (PM) and air toxics; developed unique CAMx features including ozone/PM source apportionment, sensitivity analysis, and embedded reactive plume models.
  • Developed photochemical modeling to develop control strategies for ozone and demonstrate attainment of the ozone NAAQS; primary technical resource for the state of Texas for ozone modeling of the Houston, Beaumont, and Dallas non-attainment areas.
  • Designed comprehensive air quality management plans, including directing all technical activities for Northeast Texas including ambient monitoring, aircraft monitoring, emission inventory, meteorological and air quality modeling, and SIP development resulting in the area attaining the ozone NAAQS in 2003.
  • Evaluated air quality models, modeling and emission reduction plans for ozone and particulate matter up to and including expert testimony.
  • Performed international air quality studies for China and Africa sponsored by agencies such as the World Bank.
