Douglas D. Daugherty, PhD, PE, CIH
For over 15 years, Dr. Douglas Daugherty has used his cross-disciplinary background in chemical engineering and industrial hygiene to provide solid solutions in areas such as industrial hygiene, air quality management, air toxics risk assessments, emergency release and indoor environmental quality. He has broad experience advising and assisting facilities in a wide variety of industries with both federal and state air compliance programs. Doug has prepared and evaluated numerous analyses of climate change and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, emergency releases of toxic and flammable substances and air quality and health risk assessments for seaport sources, and conducted other industrial, commercial and residential projects. He has provided strategic litigation support and has acted as an expert witness on a range of matters related to both public and occupational exposure analysis. Doug is a registered professional engineer (chemical) in California, and a certified industrial hygienist by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. He is also a California Air Resources Board-accredited GHG lead verifier and refineries specialist (EO H-09-016) under California’s mandatory GHG reporting rules. He has a BS in chemical engineering from John Hopkins University, and an MA and PhD in chemical engineering from Princeton University.
