Air Quality Management
ENVIRON's comprehensive array of air quality management services includes litigation support from litigation initiation through settlement, dismissal, or trial; strategic planning for regional, national, and urban issues such as evaluating the effects of alternative vehicle emissions standards or statistically evaluating air quality or emissions trends; and facility-based services, which encompass regulatory compliance, permitting, risk management programs and emergency release analysis, process engineering and pollution control, emissions trading, and operations maintenance.
Our work often involves developing and using complex air quality, meteorological, emissions, and statistical models. These models vary depending on the length scale of the problem: from CFD models for ventilation, indoor air quality and micro-scale meteorological and air pollution modeling (e.g. in the urban environment), to meso-scale dispersion models for industry-specific applications, complex terrain regional transport and chemical transformation modeling.
